The redevelopment of the former Galleries shopping centre, into an exciting, new mixed-use neighbourhood is now well underway. This video shows the fantastic progress made in the last 18 months! We’d like to thank all businesses, traders and residents for their support during this exciting redevelopment for Wigan Town Centre.
Over the past 18 months we have achieved the following:
– Strategic development partner procured
– Hybrid planning consent granted
– Vacant site possession secured
– Apprenticeships, local suppliers and employment delivered
– Demolition works underway, 1/3 complete on programme
– Low carbon heat network funding granted
